The GRuB hive has truly been buzzing in the past few weeks! We invited the community to the farm with our first in-person Soirée since before the pandemic, and the event was a delightful success! We have already raised just over $50,000 to support GRuB’s mission of growing healthy food, healthy people and healthy community.
We are grateful for the sweet support of the GRuB community!
• Over 100 people joined us in person at the GRuB farm on September 10th.
• 50 attended our Pollination Celebration on August 31, and buzzed around the farm to learn about bees, GRuB, and partner organizations.
• In addition to the delicious meal for Soiree attendees, 100 meals were brought to community members through ASHHO’s Buy One, Give One program.
• Local artisans, businesses, and community members donated items for our auction–over 150 items total!
We are currently 76% of the way to our event goal AND there is still time to contribute! You can donate directly through the GRuB website and indicate "Soirée" in the donor note section.
One last taste of summer is our signature drink, served at Soirée, the Blackberry Shrub! We are happy to share the recipe with you, crafted by GRuB’s very own SNAP-Ed Coordinator, Megumi Sugihara!
