It's that season! Are you hungry for a GRuBkin pie? Well, have some pumpkin bread instead!

Well, with the Pandemic we have a smaller team here and more restrictions on what we can cook and share with our community. So, while we wanted to turn our beautiful pumpkins into pies for you, we will instead be selling pumpkin bread! Still baked with love by GRuB’s youth crew and farm team with our homegrown GRuB pumpkins. 2020 just keeps asking us to adapt and simplify and find what is most important, and we can promise you all the most important stuff is still in this bread: growing food, people, and community.

These pumpkins were transplanted into our cozy GRuB soil by our farm team way back in May and since then they have been lovingly cared for by our dedicated farm team and youth crew over many months and throughout all kinds of weather. Once ready, they were all harvested and hauled to our propagation greenhouse, and later relocated to our seed shed where they rest now, just waiting to be baked into delicious bread for you to enjoy! All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to support GRuB’s youth programs so the very youth who grew these pumpkins can keep giving back to the community.

This year you can choose sliding scale pricing. The standard price is $15. We also have a $10 option or $20 option. Gluten free breads are available for no extra charge. Chocolate chips or icing are an additional $3 each. We hope you will choose the price that is right for you knowing that at each price you are supporting our opportunities for youth to learn, lead and thrive on the farm.

You must pre-order your bread by Friday, November 13, 2019. Breads will be available for pick up on Wednesday, November 18th and Thursday November 19th from 3-6:30 pm at GRuB (2016 Elliott Ave NW, Olympia). We will be following strict protocols for COVID as we have all summer with our CSA produce.
