Victory Garden Project Lead Builder

Winter & Spring Quarters 2017

Position open until filled.

GRuB bridges the fields of sustainable food systems, healthcare, education, and hunger by engaging underserved populations in innovative, holistic, and community-centered solutions. We’ve been invited to expand our youth work into the public schools and our good food work into more communities. As the good food movement has taken off in recent years, GRuB is ensuring that marginalized communities and disengaged youth are at the center, not the fringes, of this work. We recognize the assets and leadership these individuals can bring to support community resilience and food system transformation. We connect low-income families and underserved people to the knowledge, training, materials needed to grow their own food, to improve their health and well-being, and to spread the benefits of gardening throughout their networks. While GRuB supports these homegrown efforts we also strive to build effective partnerships with organizations working to transform unjust systems.
